Operation: Prom Dress Week 8 {10 Day Slim Down}

Rise and shine lovelies! It’s Tuesday Smile And that means it’s time for another Operation: Prom Dress post! However, this one will be a little different.

Yesterday I told you guys I’m going to follow a “diet” plan for the next 10 days, thus starting my 10 Day Slim Down plan. I had a good amount of people tell me they were interested in joining in which I thought was FANTASTIC. It’s always easier to do things with friends!

Nutrition: I have created a list of “approved” healthy foods that I’m going to rotate through. I have a really bad habit of eating whatever I find first so I’m hoping this list will help. I’m not limiting myself to these foods (hence the “other clean option” phrase). I’m just helping myself find GOOD foods that will help my body! For me, my “binge triggers” are nut butter and cereal. Therefore, I’m going to try to avoid nut butter for these 10 days (except for in OOIAJ) and cereal (unless it’s healthy!). Everyone’s lists of foods will be different but you can see mine as an example Smile

Exercise: time for strength focus! I want to tone up and get those lean muscles, which are only achieved through eating clean and strength training, with cardio! I’ve made a sample week plan for you guys to follow along with me. I want to do 8 minute abs every day because I know that it’s an effective way to get dem absssss.

It was awesome catching up with some other Jesse McCartney fans too! I’d compare him to Justin Bieber, but that would be an insult to McCartney. Truth.

Sunday started off with one of my faaaaaavorite breakfasts!

Overnight Oats in a Jar! This one was made in an almost empty almond butter jar but every thing else was made the same way as usual. I topped it with PB2 (peanut butter and almond butter- yum) and some honey roasted slivered almonds.

I love breakfasts that keep me satisfied all the way through church. Always awkward when your stomach starts growling…

When I got home from church I scarfed down a Luna bar and went to the gym.

20 minutes of elliptical and 45 minutes of walking @15 incline! Whew!

I was planning on doing an hour of the elliptical but my knee started really hurting so I walked instead. Weird how that doesn’t bother it…

Christian had a senior banquet that my family attended to support him.

After that I went over to Christian’s before heading home and calling it a night.

I’ve decided that tomorrow starts a solid, focused diet. I keep saying that but I never actually do it. BUT this time Christian says he’ll hold it to me. I have a “10 Day Slim Down” diet plan all written out and I’ll share it if you want. Basically it’s a list of foods that are “healthy”. This sounds restrictive and unhealthy, I know. But it’s only for 10 days and then I’ll switch back to my normal eating.

So Sunday was basically my last supper Winking smile The banquet served lasagna and chocolate cake, and when I got home I ate a bunch of cereal. Dry. Straight out of the box. Kay I’m ready to start this nutrition plan now, haha!

I’m even taking before and after pictures to see what healthy eating can really do for your body.
