I’m back once again! Happy Saturday! I bet yours will have much more activity in it than mine will. Today will consist of sitting on the couch, eating almond ice cream, chocolate banana smoothies, and applesauce.
Speaking of that, let me fill ya in a little on what I bought to keep my lactose intolerance under control and my tummy happy!
Yoplait Smoothies (this one is mixed berry, but I prefer Chocolate Banana!), Dreyer’s Fruit Bars, Almond Dream Vanilla “ice cream”, Chocolate Peanut Butter Arctic Zero, black cherry Jello, and chocolate pudding.
And I can’t forget the star of the show…
Applesauce! I’ve seriously been eating this almost every time I’ve taken my meds. See the jar on the right? My best friend brought me applesauce this morning. Can I just say how much I love friends who do this? She’s such a sweetheart
Flashback picture from 2010! She’s in the middle (I’m on the left)
This whole wisdom teeth extraction removal and recovery thing seems really easy so far! Except for having to change the gauze in my mouth every 30 minutes yesterday and drooling all over myself because my lips were numb (TMI? Sorry ), it’s been pretty smooth sailing. I’m on a mixture of Percocet (pain meds), ibuprofen (less strong pain meds and for swelling), and penicillin (antibiotic). I’ve only had a little bit of soreness on the left side of my mouth and no pain other than that. Praise the Lord!
This morning I woke up at 2 am, took a Percocet and 3 ibuprofen with a little applesauce. Did the same thing this morning at 8, and then fell back to sleep until 10. 12 hours of blissful sleep, plus the little bits of drifting off yesterday and the hour that I was under during the surgery. Needless to say, I feel really good. At 10:30, I made myself a green chocolate banana smoothie by mixing together one of Yoplait’s Chocolate Banana smoothie mixes with a large handful of spinach. It’s true when they say you can’t taste the spinach! What a sneaky way to get my veggies in.
I’m planning on lounging around the house today reading magazines and watching TV. I’m getting antsy to do some exercise, but I’ve been warned that exercise could make the blood rush to my gums and cause the blood clotting to burst. UM NO THANK YOU. So resting it is.
By the way, where is everyone? I feel very lonely in the blog world lately. Abby is the only one who’s commenting!
Have a great Saturday guys. It’s gorgeous here today!
And a 21- hour comparison picture…

Yikes…. HAHA. Check out the swollen lips and the gauze coming out my mouth. Let’s not spread that picture around….
What are your plans for today?
