Tuesday is over, and we’re on to Wednesday. It’s hump day, so once we’re over today we’re past the “hump” of the week! Embarrassing fact: I didn’t think that’s what it meant by “hump” at first… yikes. Embarrassing fact #2: I can’t spell embarrassing without spell check.
I woke up Monday morning with a runny nose and now my voice is pretty much gone. I can’t get sick this week! I’m helping out at a event for future freshmen at my high school on Thursday, and I present my senior project on Friday. AHHH! Anyone have any get-better-quick sickness remedies?!
It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! Mucho gracias to Jen at Peas and Crayons for putting this on!

Breakfast: (oops, this picture looked better on my phone!)
A sliced banana with PB2 drizzled on top with a side of coffee! This has been my go-to breakfast for the last few days since it’s soft and easy to eat. I can eat real foods again, but banana is yummy anyway. To the left of my breakfast is the March Madness bracket! Anyone else do this?! Go Zags!
Lunch:
A turkey and mozzarella wrap! I LOVE this lunch, it’s one of my favorites! It’s ridiculously easy to make too. I use a La Tortilla Factory low carb tortilla, layer 2 pieces of deli chicken meat on top, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and add some chopped romaine lettuce. Simple and delicious!
Pre-Workout Snack:
Have I ever mentioned my adoration for Luna bars? No? Well, I have an adoration for Luna Bars
Luna Protein are my favorite. The chocolate peanut butter one is the best in my opinion (surprised?), followed by the cookie dough (pictured above!). I ate 2/3 of it before my workout and then finished it afterwards.
Workout:
7.5 mile run (ish. I walked after this picture was taken so I’d hit 7.5 miles). Phew! Running is no joke. I really need to work on my long-distance run endurance. My brain mentally runs out of energy after about 20 minutes. Yikes. Any runners have any advice for me here? I need all the help I can get, haha!
Dinner:
I added more chicken to my plate after I finished this, I promise! Grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast with pasta salad. I didn’t really like the pasta salad… I’m not really a fan of dressing on anything. I HAVE to eat chicken with ketchup. It makes it a million times better, I swear! Unpictured: a half gallon of chocolate milk (okay not really, but it felt like it
) and a few handfuls of goldfish crackers! <— my favorite snack in the world
Snack:
Toasted cinnamon square cereal with my almond milk! This is one of my favorite before-bed snacks. I love eating cereal. Too bad it’s not the best choice. Oh well. #YOLO. I also had a few scoops of peanut butter out of the jar and a cinnamon graham cracker. I’M HUNGRY OKAY.
Tuesday was especially awesome because I’m working on lining up giveaways and I found some takers! Guys this is gonna be awesomeeee.
Hint: you’ll never have sweaty bangs in your face again.
By the way, you guys are awesome! I got the best feedback on my shoes post yesterday. I’m going to go to the store within the next few days and try a few styles on. Stay tuned!
Oh, and I’m updating the list of Under- 21 Bloggers tomorrow! If you haven’t commented or contacted me and you want to be on it, comment on the post (this one or that one)!
Your turn!
How do you recover from a cold?
Do you participate in March Madness? Who do you think will win?
What’s your favorite food?
thats my favorite protein bar and i do the same with cereal and almond milk for snacks
Ahhh yay! I’m not alone
I don’t know if this helps, but on long runs I get SO bored, and I found that listening to podcasts instead of music helps me. Also, I’m the same way about ketchup on chicken! Sometimes if I order a salad with grilled chicken, I’ll ask for a side of ketchup, getting me some weird looks. I also put it on fish, which is really weird…
Girl we’re like twins (okay kind of)! I always put ketchup on my fish and people think I’m 100% nuts. Hahaha! I’m glad someone understands;)
What if you’re 21 + 5?
Just kidding! I think that’s great you’re doing that!
Haha thank you! 26 > 21… come on teacher
In terms of running, having a good motivation/distraction always helps!
The TV was on but Food Network isn’t interesting unless the recipes are amazing!… And they weren’t yesterday:( plus it always feels weird watching a show about food while I work out!
Haha true but I swear when I was on the track and cross country team in high school all we would talk about would be food!
I just up my liquids by a 1,000,000! Also make sure you give yourself a day of rest so you can really kick it out of you. I know we are all about go, go, go but sometimes our bodies just need a break.
Um hello kick in the butt! I needed that for sure. Thanks girly:)
I am so bad at recovering from colds! They always seem to stay with me for months! This morning I woke up with a sore throat.. hopefully I am not getting sick! As for running, listen to some good music and zone out. I always seem to day dream while running. I also found that it is easier to run long distance outside. One reason being that there is a change of scenery. The other reason being that you have to run back to get home! I hope these tips helped!
Ahhh me too! I’m always forgetting to take vitamin c or go to bed early or something. I love doing long runs outside too! It definitely helps. Treadmill dreadmill!
To get over a cold I do the stereotypical eat lots of vitaman c drink lots of water thing, isually works out pretty well, feel better soon
Thank you! I’ve been loading up on Vitamin c haha!
